Although many problems can only be corrected with a surgical rhinoplasty, minor changes can be corrected with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers
However, unlike surgical rhinoplasty, results are temporary in nature, and nose filler injections need to be performed at regular intervals to maintain the results
- do stick to foods that are easy to eat
- do bring lipstick and lip liner to the appointment as this can be applied immediately after treatment to cover up any immediate bruising
- do avoid kissing or massaging your lips directly after the procedure and possibly for up to 24 hours if it is your first lip filler injection
- do be gentle with your skin while washing for 24 hours
- don’t use an exfoliating agent for 24 hours or any harsh cleaning brush
- don’t have a facial massage for at least two weeks
- don’t drink through a straw for the 1st day as this puts pressure on the lips
- don’t drink alcohol for at least 24 hours after you have had fillers
- don’t exercise excessively for at least 24-hour
Are there any side effects of fillers?
The dermal filler side effects are pretty minimal and usually disappear soon after the treatment - they typically last a few days. They include things like swelling, redness and minor bleeding near the injection points. You might also experience some bruising, but applying an arnica cream to the area can help keep this at bay.

STOP taking fish oil tablets (if you do) the moment you schedule your eyebrow tattoo appointment, garlic and herbal teas to avoid blood thinning.
Do not tan two weeks prior or have a sunburned face.

To Minimise Discomfort:
Try to get a good night's sleep before your treatment. This will help you relax and make the treatment more comfortable.
On the day:
Paracetamol reduces pain and helps reduce inflammation so if you're worried take two before or after your treatment.
Antihistamine helps to reduce swelling during the procedure.
Due to the equipment we use and contaminated waste we don't allow children and pets in my treatment room.
